Dr. Yufen Chou is an active music educator with over twenty years of teaching experience. First started teaching private piano lessons during her college freshman year, the part-time gig turns into a life-long calling. In 2005, while still working on her graduate degree, she established her own music studio providing private lessons in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Dr. Chou was also an adjunct piano professor at Trinity Washington University and Prince George’s Community College. Besides teaching, Yufen is an active accompanist and chamber music player. Since relocating to Salida, Colorado in 2021, Dr. Chou continues to teach private music lessons and participates in various local music events. 

Yufen Chou holds Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Accompanying from The Catholic University of America and Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a registered Suzuki instructor in both piano and violin and a trained Music Together teacher.
